Types of Dental Bridges
Traditional Fixed Dental Bridge: create a filler tooth supported by crowns on healthy teeth. Made from porcelain fused to metal or ceramics. Requires reshaping and crowns on supporting teeth.
Cantilever Dental Bridge: utilized when only one side of the missing tooth has healthy teeth. Used in specific situations where one side lacks teeth. Designed for pontic to be outside the abutment teeth.
Maryland Bonded Dental Bridge: Metal framework with porcelain fused to metal teeth. Fixed to adjacent healthy teeth with metal or porcelain wings/More conservative alternative to traditional bridges, no reshaping or crowns required.
