
Dr Kate Ohlson-Turner
Kate qualified from the University of Liverpool with Honours in 2013. She completed her foundation training on the Wirral before completing several years as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Special Care Dentistry. Kate then spent time working as a Community Dental Officer and Outreach Supervisor for undergraduate dental students and now particularly enjoys working with anxious patients and teaching both under and post graduate students. Since 2017 Kate has worked exclusively in Oral Surgery developing her skills in various hospitals across the North East.
She now works part-time as a Specialty Doctor in Oral Surgery in a hospital in on the Wirral. Kate achieved membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and has a Post Graduate Certificate from Edge Hill University in Teaching and Learning in Clinical Practice. She has also passed the SAAD National Course for Conscious Sedation and has recently passed her exams with Merit and been awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Conscious Sedation from Newcastle University.
Kate has a publication in an academic journal, has presented at national dental conferences and is a member if the British Association of Oral Surgery. Outside of work, Kate has young twins, so most of her time is spent looking after them! She also enjoys all watersports, cooking and is an avid reader.
