Dr Bill Powell
Bill has been providing dental services in Liverpool for over 30 years under private arrangement, NHS and Denplan monthly capitation plans. He has also been involved with dental politics as a member of the local dental committee since qualifying and is currently chairman of the Liverpool Dental Committee.
Bill’s special interest is in treating nervous patients. As a nervous patient himself he always thinks of ways to make treatments comfortable and pain free. Bill is also dedicated to Minimal Intervention (MI) dentistrywhich is based on prevention, education with self-care and minimal drilling when needed. Helping people achieve a healthy beautiful smile using cosmetic techniques, such as gentle home whitening, composite bonding, ceramic veneers, crowns, bridges, implants and Invisalign tooth straightening, all consider a view of saving as much
natural tooth structure as possible.
In his spare time Bill volunteers at 90 Speke RAF Air Cadets as a civilian committee treasurer and helps with Duke of Edinburgh adventure training and long-distance road. Bill’s three children were all Air Cadets at 90 Speke Squadron and his son is now a commercial pilot.
