Fine Lines & Wrinkles
Fine Lines and Wrinkles are a natural part of the aging process. They tend to form on the face, neck, décolletage and hands. Fine Lines and Wrinkles can tell the story of a life well lived. They can also be the source of anxiety for many of us wanting to maintain our youthful looks. It’s all about balance and through small tweakments we can slow down the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.
What causes fine lines & wrinkles?
Fine Lines are subtle creases that develop on the surface of your skin as you age. They are usually the first signs of aging skin and develop as a result of general aging, repetitive facial changes such as frowning and smiling as well as sun exposure. Wrinkles are fine lines which have set deeper into the skin as the skin loses elasticity and volume reducing the firmness of your skin.
Loss of elasticity and volume is caused by a reduction in Collagen production. Collagen is an essential protein required to maintain skin elasticity. The production of collagen can be impacted by sun exposure, diet, sleep, smoking and general skincare routines.
How can we help?
The development of fine lines and wrinkles are inevitable as we age. You can help to reduce the development by keeping your body hydrated, eating a balanced diet with lots of lovely colourful fruit and vegetables, maintaining good sleep routines and looking after your skincare with an effective skincare routine.
Botulinum Toxin Injections
Temporarily prevents muscle movement to reducing repetitive facial movements, a key cause of the development of fine lines and wrinkles.
