Kat graduated with honours from the University of Liverpool, Dental school in 2012 having previously graduated with a degree in Biochemistry, BSc(Hons).
Kat spent her first year as a general dental practitioner on the Wirral, later transitioning to a hospital role as a Senior House Officer (SHO) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the Mersey region. Over the next two years, Kat worked across hospitals at home and in
Australia broadening her skills in paediatric dentistry, complex extractions, and providing dental care to patients with severe anxiety and complex medical conditions.
In 2014 Kat completed her postgraduate diploma (MFDS) in Dental Surgery becoming a member of The Royal College of Surgeons.
Since returning to the UK in 2017, Kat has continued to work as a general dentist and more recently as a clinical teacher in restorative dentistry for undergraduates at Sheffield and as tutor for postgraduate students at Manchester University.
Kat enjoys all areas of dentistry but has a special interest in restorative dentistry. She completed her Master’s degree in Advanced Restorative Dentistry in 2021, graduating with distinction. Kat is happy to accept referrals for complex restorative and aesthetic dental cases including the management of worn teeth.
For Kat, the most rewarding part of her job is being a family dentist and building longstanding friendships with her patients.
Outside of dentistry, Kat is passionate about music, keeping fit and spending time with her two young children.
